Brian's New Microwave Table
Here it is! Thanks to John Pye's workshop, tools and know-how,
John and I were able to put together this nifty, stylish new
table for my microwave and pots. Tim has generously provided
this complete photo documentary (Since the photos
look neat, I put them all here!)
A close-up shows both the Adrian-Butscher-Style pot-hanging technique,
using large S-hooks and eyes, and the master-craftsman-Butscher style
double-legs. You can also see the nice rounded
legs, thanks to fun with John's router. The reflection from the
leg shows that we actually put a finish on it too!
This end-shot shows that I managed to put the hook-eyes in
pretty straight. (not difficult!)
Aha! Here you see the dowel-joints used for the entire assembly.
This made both John and I extremely happy. Would you believe it
actually took about 8 feet of dowel to put it all together?
Another closeup shows the router work on the table-top, and again,
the Butscher-hook technique.
